“Dr. Death” Steve Williams, a legend in professional wrestling and former University of Oklahoma football player, died Tuesday night after a lengthy battle with throat cancer. Williams was first introduced to pro wrestling through Bill Watts’ Mid-South Wrestling in 1982. At the time of his recruitment, Williams was a star lineman and four-time All-American heavyweight wrestler at Oklahoma. Williams later formed great tag teams, including ones with Ted DiBiase Sr. and Terry Gordy (dubbed “Miracle Violence Connection”). During the 80s and 90s, Williams took part in many classic matches and became a major star for All Japan Pro Wrestling. A main eventer in Japan for many years, Williams became one of the most successful foreign athletes in Japanese wrestling history. Over his career, some of the titles Williams held included the UWF Heavyweight Championship, NWA World Tag Team Championship and the WCW World Tag Team Championship. He also fought for the ECW World Title in 1997, but lost to then-champion Raven. “Steve Williams, mentally and physically, is the toughest athlete I’ve ever seen in any walk of life or any sport, including the NFL,” said WWE commentator Jim Ross in a 2007 interview. “[And] he has a heart of gold.” In 2004, Williams underwent surgery to remove his larynx and was declared cancer-free the following year. Question by Sick puppy: my australian kelpie cross border collie puppy keeps chewing after our other dog passed away please help?
early this year our old australian kelpie cross border collie died on bone cancer we spent all our money and time on her but it couldnt be prevented. we have a 8 month old kelpie cross we got as a friend for her because she was lonely after our dog before her passed away from old age anyway back to the point lol.
our 8 month old male kelpie cross border collie puppy wont stop ripping the washing off the line and ripping stuff up. His an outside dog(please no judgment as they are a working breed and would rather be outside). But he only started since our other dog passed away so we think his lonely but we have to move soon so we cant really get a puppy right now as that would be unfair on the puppy. So i was wondering if there was a way to stop him we try to telling him no and yell at him when he does it not in a cruel way just tell him its bad but he wont stop he knows its wrong he gives the guilty look and rolls over and he has also started digging and its really starting to get bad please help we have tried everything we can think of he is fully trained and has been great before this.
we tried taking him inside and he just sat at the back door he hates being indoors most outside dogs dont like it and he is trained and very well behaved other than this and my sisters spend alot of time outside with him and we take him on long bush walks he also spends alot of time playing with my friends dog and our ferrets he has only started this since our other dog passed away we cant have him indoors he is too big and apart of our bond because we rent is to keep pets outside he enjoys being outside and we train him everyday he just has started all this we will be getting another dog because he loves other dogs and needs a friend for night time and when we arent home but i was just asking if there was a way to stop him digging and chewing now i realise it is boredom and loneliness but we can bring him in i know some people find it cruel but most people who own a working breed like a kelpie would know they dont belong indoors he is very much apart of our family and is given alot of

Answer by Jenny Manyteeth He doesn’t need another dog, he needs you to allow him into your family. Bring him indoors and spend more time with him and he won’t be so stressed.
He doesn’t act “guilty” because he understands his error; he acts that way to appease your anger. He knows you’re angry but not why.
He’s clearly NOT fully trained or he wouldn’t be acting like this.
Bring him indoors and make him a housepet. He can still go outside and spend time, but even working dogs bond better with their handlers if they spend more time with them. If you bring him inside while the laundry’s on the line, he won’t be ripping it up. Most of his bad behaviors outside are loneliness and boredom. Bring him inside, and he’ll turn his attention to figuring out the humans and what they want. BCs and Kelpies are very smart; he can learn anything you want to teach him. Teach him to pick up trash and put it in the bin. Teach him to fetch your slippers. Teach him to carry notes (tied to his collar) to other family members by name). Teach him to bring you his dish when its mealtime. Teach him to open the frig, bring you a beer and then go back and close the frig. Teach him to fetch the newspaper. Hint: never send a dog to pick up a book; then tend to grab onto the cover only, and it often tears away.

I want to know since the injections shrank his tumors dramatically and he would play and eat twice a day and have a good time, did he still suffer and how bad.Near the end the vet sayed put him down because the tumors weren;t shrinking and he was suffering so we put him to sleep.He had the tumors in the neck I limfoma cancer or something like that.

Answer by Jen I think you made the right decisions for him. You helped to have good quality of life for a while and when the quality went bad, you let him go. That’s how it should be.

When the time comes that the dog is having more bad days than good ones, unable to enjoy life, functioning is being lost–then that’s when you decide it’s time. Don’t wait for “death” to come and take the dog, no need to prolong the inevitable suffering and pain.

Our 13 year old dog was diagnosed one month ago with osteosarcoma and is declining quickly. We are scheduled to take our 1-week family vacation in 10 days and have our pet sitter coming to stay with our dog. She likes the pet sitter, but I am wondering if one week will seem like forever to her & she will miss us & give up. Will one week seem long to a dog? We have left her at least that long every year for 13 years.

i was forced to put my dog down 2 years ago because she was 18 and had cancer really bad the last 3 months of her life… in 3 months she went from healthy to skin and bones and couldnt eat and only drank water and couldnt control her bowels…….well i feel guilty… u see a few years before that i left home for college and left her with my dad, and because of differences with my dad i barely came over, and i miss her soo much.. the night we put her down, the whole family of 8 people was in the room and she completely ignored me, but went right over to my boyfriend and every one else.. i feel so guilty and miss her so much and feel like its my fault she died and hated me. i was her favorite human and she was my best friend and i deserted her…i cant get over feeling guilty to this day and miss her soo much , i wish i could go back in time and visit more often and take her to sleep over my place… i dont know how to not feel guilty.. she wouldnt even acknowledge me that night..
She had an aggressive form of bone cancer, we had her on pain meds and she was doing just fine. I woke up this morning and she was seizing in her crate. I got her out and she went limp. I could still feel a heartbeat, though she didnt seem to be breathing. I was going to do CPR but she seized again, and died in my arms. The vet is going to a necropsy, to see why, but they fear it was just poor health. I just dont understand it. She was on Morphine for a few weeks now with little or no problem other than being really sleepy. We have been keeping her comfortable and on a low exercise and activity regimen. Shes always had poor health but this was so unexpected. The vet really couldn’t see much when we took her in, no stroke though he couldnt rule out a heartattack quite yet. He thinks it was just “her time to go” as he put it. I trust him very much, but I still feel shocked. I havent even cried yet, I did love her and though shes been more of a pain in the rear, most of her life, I had a sense of duty and connection to her that ran deep. I would never intentionally put her in harms way. Did anyone else do do this on Morphine?

my 6 other dogs are doing ok… though Peekaboo is constantly sniffing and laying by her crate. Her and Peek didn’t get along well and its quite odd shes doing this. Makes me a bit teary.
