I had no idea how much her death would affect me. We lost a great friend. A few days before this happened Sasha started acting a little different. On Saturday she had very little appetite, on Sunday she would not eat. We rushed her to the emergency vet early Sunday evening because she appeared to be in pain and discomfort. We spent most of the night there as they took blood and ran tests. Her gums had become pale and she was very weak. Our girl was suffering. X-rays were taken and a tumor was visible, as well as stomach gas and intestine gas. We were told that she would have to have blood transfusions to survive and regain strength for surgery to remove the tumor; we were ready to drive her to the next vet hospital that could do the blood transfusions. We were then told that her liver had failed though, and we would just be …
