Question by Laura: Homemade dog food for a cancer dog?
Hey im looking for some recipes for my 12 year old dog who has a cancer… I have been trying to look up recipes but they seem to all have grains (which cancer feeds off of). I need some recipes for low carb, grain free, protein and veggies. We have made some chicken “stew”. He is now very bored with this… i need some new fresh ideas! thanks (portions would be great, im new to this, and he is about 95lbs great pyrenees golden mix)

Answer by Staci E i saw this on a dog tv show once, they actually froze their stew in the summertime and gave to the dog as a popsicle treat. what i would recommend to you is to research which veggies are healthy for a dog. maybe like cooked carrots with beef slivers and peas sorta mashed into a dogfood.
Dragon’s Den is a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) production of Sony’s original concept which consists of entrepreneurs pitching their ideas in order to secure investment finance from business experts — the “Dragons”. The show is inspiring, very entertaining and considering the economic climate we’re facing, provides a wonderful venue to encourage VC funding and get the moneys flowing again. Question by Sarah: Does canned dog food cause cancer?
Like pedigree and stuff. I have fed my dog canned food so far but just read recently that dog food from supermarkets causes cancer… is this true?
Best answer:
Answer by Atheist EVERYTHING causes cancer these days.
I wouldn’t doubt that NOT having cancer causes cancer.
I take human dad Jeff to the Squat n Gobble for a dinner of Lucky Dog Cuisine, Greek Style. Day 25 we just ate at home so rather than bore you we came up with a special Greek Pita dinner for day 26. We always have one or two brave souls dip into to dad’s meal but this is getting crazy. We are going to have to make more food for his last four days if this keeps up.
Question by hotspicedonut: Does Eukanuba dog food cause cancer?
Somebody told me that this dog food causes cancer and that I should stop using it immediately. Obviously I never want my dog to get cancer and will do anything to stop it but is this just a rumour? My vet says that Eukanuba is the best food to use… Thank you!
Best answer:
Answer by rescue member That’s idiotic – whoever told you this is a real yoyo.
No dog food causes cancer. However, Eukanuba is not a very good food, it is mostly starchy fillers.
Get a good dog food which lists meat as it’s first product – Canidae is good, but there are others.
Just look for as close to 30 percent proten and 20 percent fat as you can find – and stop getting bad advice from this person!!!
Question by Guess W: Was given a chihuahua owner ill with cancer, table fed dog will not eat dog food how do I get back to dog food?
The dog has been fed table food because unable to care for him reason I was given him, he’s overweight (severely) tried mixing scraps with dog food he seperates and eats only scraps how do I reverse him into eating dog food, weight loss tools

Answer by steve b You really need to be quite tough. Feed dog food and if he doesn’t eat it pick it up and then put it down again later. The dog will eat when he is hungry enough. It is best not to give in at all ….no human food whatsoever…. no matter how sorry you feel for him. Serious obesity will shorten his life significantly and cost you a lot in unnecessary vet bills.
